The Village of South Barrington has the advantage of a Mayor who comes to the Village Hall daily and works with staff members to handle the business of the Village.
The Trustees not only actively participate at the decision-making board meetings, but also form the membership of the standing committees: Building, Finance, Legal & Human Resource, Police, and Public Works.
In addition, residents volunteer to serve on a number of Commissions.

PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT Village Administrator Mark Masciola can be contacted for development information and to coordinate with the Mayor. He is the staff representative on the Legal & Human Resource Committee and Finance Committee.
BUILDING & ZONING Building & Zoning Officer Ray Wolfel coordinates building permits and inspections. He enforces the zoning regulations of the Village and is the staff representative on the Building Committee.

PUBLIC WORKS The Public Works Committee coordinates with the Village Engineer issues of roadway maintenance and signage, drainage, and subdivision improvements. Administrator Mark Masciola and Building Officer Ray Wolfel are staff representatives on the Public Works Committee.
