NEWS & INFORMATION

Notice to Residents:  The Yellow  Book  phone directory has mistakenly printed a "Toll Free Emergency Number" for  Police and Fire Departments in various Northwest suburbs, including South Barrington.  833-864-239 is NOT an emergency number.  Dial 911 for emergency assistance.

TEMPORARY WEIGHT LIMIT FOR TRUCKS

Every year sometime between Feb - May, a road weight limit is in effect to protect the streets from damage with the freeze thaw cycle.  No truck over 10 tons is allowed on Village streets.  The Public Works Committee Chair and Village Engineer determine the start and removal of the weight ban.  You may call the Village Engineer direct for any questions at 847-870-9742.
