Compliance Officers are designated in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act, the Open Meetings Act, and the American with Disabilities Act. It is an important duty of government to provide information and services strengthened by these Acts.

Freedom of Information Request Form
Purpose The purpose of this office is to promote transparency of government by responding to requests for information with all due expediency.
Requests Requests for information may be made in person, by mail, fax, email, or phone. Verbal requests, however, will be written down by staff and confirmed to prevent delay in processing and ensure accuracy.
The Village has a downloadable FOIA Request Form which can be filled out online. Although convenient for both the requestor and staff, it is not required that this form be used.
A request must include contact information, a specific description of the information being sought, designation of the request as being for commercial or non-commercial use, how the documents are to be viewed/provided, and date of request.
Cost For black and white, letter or legal sized copies (8 1/2x 11 or 11x14), the first 50 pages are free. Additional pages can cost no more than 15 cents a page. For color copies or oversized copies, the actual cost of copying is charged.
