PERMIT
APPLICATION FORMS and GUIDELINE SHEETS
Building permits are required for some home improvements and for all new construction. Construction may require architectural approval through the homeowner association. Permits are required for the construction of a deck, gazebo, swimming pool, driveway monuments, tennis courts, septic repair, driveway repaving, and some types of remodeling (basement, bonus room, attic finishing). If you are not sure whether the remodeling work you are doing requires a permit, please call the Village Hall at 847-381-7510.
Getting a permit is one way to assure that the work
done in your home meets the building
codes and specifications. If work is done in and around your home without a permit and it is determined that one is required,
there may be fines and penalties
associated with the work. It is always better to check with the Village before undergoing any project.

You may fill in the appropriate form online, print out and sign or
save as blank form, complete, and print out.
Submit form with original signatures, fees and required documents to
the Village Hall. You will be notified when review is
complete and permit is ready for pick up.
