Welcome to the Village of South Barrington! We hope the information in this website will help you get acquainted with the Village and answer some of your questions.
With all the challenges of moving into a new house and a new area, we realize that getting basic information can sometimes be difficult. This site will provide information about our Village history, government officials, staff and Village Ordinances. There are a good number of links to area facilities that will be of interest to you including lists of governmental agencies, schools, libraries, utilities, garbage services, police, fire, and hospital information.
If you are building or remodeling, you can consult the building guidelines and fill out the permit application form online. After signing it, you can mail it in or bring it to Village Hall with the appropriate application fee.
Of utmost importance, my office is compiling a list of volunteers for the Village’s Emergency Management Plan. Participation can be at many levels. Please contact me or the Executive Secretary at the Village Hall if you are interested. Both medical and non-medical personnel are needed. Again, welcome!
